For me, few things in life are as sacred as being involved in someone else’s healing or growth.
As a teen, I took a keen interest in the field of psychotherapy, finding the vulnerability and connection of it all as empowering as it was admirable. Following my own experience as an avid therapy-goer, I recognized that becoming a therapist would mean being privy to someone's internal world, stories, and struggles . It felt meaningful, powerful, and simply put, a good thing to do in the world. Assisting in someone's development felt like the ultimate privilege. Present day, I can attest these feelings of gratitude and responsibility have only grown with experience.
For the past ten years, an integration of coursework, fieldwork, and clinical leadership experiences have informed my trade of being a clinical social worker and alcohol and drug counselor. After studying clinical psychology at The College of New Jersey and graduating from the Rutgers School of Social Work in 2023, I went full-time with my private practice, Recover with Angelique, in early-2026. While I primarily work with individuals today, my background includes group facilitation, intern supervision, and clinical leadership within Detox, Partial, and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs, as well as couples and family work. Together, these experiences have solidified my specialty in diagnosing and treating mental health and behavioral issues.
When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, oil painting, cooking, and spending time with my senior dog. I invite you to reach out, so I may learn more about you, your needs, and ways that we can work together.
